Frequently Asked

Every question we get.

Honest answers. No marketing copy. If something isn't covered here, call (740) 223-5530 — Rick picks up.

Where is your store?
Our flagship is at 731 E Center St #200, Marion, Ohio 43302. We're open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm. Walk in any time during hours — Rick or one of our techs will be there.
Are you a real business?
Yes. We're a registered Ohio business with a real storefront on Center Street in Marion, a real phone number — (740) 223-5530 — that rings to a real desk, and a real tech named Rick who has been doing this since 1991. You can drive here and shake his hand.
What does "refurbished" actually mean?
A refurbished Mac is real, previously-owned Apple hardware restored to working order — not new-in-box, but the same chip, the same speed, and the same macOS as a new unit. Every Mac we sell arrives wiped, iCloud-clean, and ready to set up out of the box, and it's backed by our own 1-year whole-machine warranty. You get current Apple hardware at a refurbished price, with a real store behind it.
What does the 1-year warranty cover?
Hardware failures — if your Mac's display, logic board, keyboard, trackpad, or any internal component fails on its own within the first year, we make it right at no cost to you. It's our own warranty, honored directly by us, not a third party. Accidental damage (drops, spills) is not covered by the standard warranty but can be added with a LuxuryCare plan. The warranty is void if the device is opened by anyone other than an authorized technician.
What does "whole-machine" coverage mean?
It means the warranty covers the entire device — not just select parts. If a qualifying hardware failure can't be fixed, we replace the whole machine with one of equal or greater spec. No sending it to Apple and waiting three weeks, no RMA runaround. We handle it directly so you end up with a working Mac.
What condition are the devices in?
Every device we sell carries our "Luxury Certified" grade — our top tier, meaning fully functional Apple hardware in clean condition: no cracked screens, no missing keys, no swollen batteries. Light cosmetic marks (minor scratches not visible from arm's length) may exist on some units. It arrives wiped, iCloud-clean, and ready to set up, and it's covered by our 1-year warranty and 30-day money-back guarantee.
Do you buy broken or cracked Macs?
Yes. Apple won't take cracked or dead devices in their trade-in program. We will. We price broken Macs from parts value (logic board, screen, battery) and apply it as store credit. A completely dead MacBook Air M1 still earns $40–$75 in credit. A cracked-screen M2 MacBook Air can earn $140–$220.
How do I trade in my Mac?
Three ways: (1) Use our online trade-in calculator at /trade-in for an instant quote, then ship us the device. (2) Walk into our store — Rick quotes on the spot and applies credit same day. (3) Call (740) 223-5530.
Do you ship?
Yes, nationwide. Orders typically arrive within 5–7 business days, with tracking emailed the moment your order ships. Shipping is free on orders over $500.
Why not just buy from Apple?
Our refurbished M-series Macs run identically to new ones — same chip, same speed, same battery life. The difference is price (typically $150–$400 below Apple's current pricing) and our 1-year whole-machine warranty that covers the full device, not just select components. Apple's own refurb program is also limited to models they still carry — we stock discontinued models that are still excellent machines.
Is the previous owner's data wiped?
Yes. Every Mac arrives fully wiped and restored to factory macOS — iCloud-clean, no previous data, and no previous Apple IDs locked to it. You set up from scratch, exactly like a new machine out of the box.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer Affirm financing for purchases over $300. Select Affirm at checkout to see your rate — approval takes 30 seconds. Rates vary by credit history; no impact on your credit score to check.
What is LuxuryCare?
LuxuryCare is our extended protection plan — three tiers starting at $99/year. Basic extends your warranty an extra year. Plus adds unlimited virus removal and remote repair sessions. Business adds a 4-hour replacement SLA for critical machines. Details at /care.
Can I call someone?
Yes. Call (740) 223-5530. Rick usually picks up. If you get voicemail, you'll get a callback within 2 hours during business hours. This isn't a call center — there's one desk and one person at it.
