Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your purchase from LuxuriousComputers, an Ohio-registered business at 731 E Center St #200, Marion, OH 43302. By placing an order or submitting a trade-in, you agree to these terms. Questions? Call (740) 223-5530.

Purchase terms

All sales are considered final after 24 hours from the time of purchase. Within that 24-hour window, you may cancel your order for a full refund to your original payment method, provided the item has not yet shipped. Once an item ships, it is governed by our Returns Policy at /returns.

Prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change without notice until an order is confirmed. We reserve the right to cancel any order in the event of a pricing error or inventory discrepancy, in which case you will be notified and fully refunded.

Photographs of devices on our site are representative of condition grade and model. Minor cosmetic variations (small scratches, slight discoloration) may exist within the stated condition grade. If a device has a specific cosmetic issue worth noting — a hairline scratch on the lid, for example — we will disclose it in the listing. We do not ship cracked screens, missing keys, or swollen batteries.

By completing a purchase, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have legal authority to enter into this agreement.

1-year hardware warranty

Every device we sell is covered by a one-year hardware warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty is our commitment that the device we sold you will continue to function as it did the day you received it.

What is covered: Internal hardware failures that occur through normal use. This includes the display, logic board, keyboard, trackpad, battery (if it drops below 75% capacity within the warranty period), ports, and any internal component that fails on its own without external cause.

Whole-machine replacement: If your device qualifies for a warranty claim, we don't send it off and make you wait three weeks — we handle it directly and make it right. If the device cannot be repaired, we replace it with a machine of equal or greater specification, and you keep the replacement. No RMA runaround. Local customers can also bring it in to our Marion store.

The warranty is non-transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.

What the warranty does not cover

Our warranty covers hardware failure through normal use. It does not cover damage caused by the owner. The following voids your warranty claim:

  • Drops, impacts, or physical shock — cracked screens, bent chassis, broken hinges caused by mishandling
  • Liquid damage — spills, rain, humidity, immersion, or any contact with liquid
  • Any cracked, shattered, or broken display glass regardless of cause
  • Cosmetic damage — dents, scratches, marks, or gouges caused after delivery
  • Damage caused by use with incompatible or counterfeit accessories (non-Apple-certified chargers, adapters)
  • Operating system or software problems — including malware, corrupted macOS installs, or third-party driver conflicts
  • Loss or theft
  • Devices opened or repaired by anyone other than an authorized technician
  • Damage resulting from unauthorized modification or jailbreaking
  • Normal cosmetic wear — minor scratches from everyday use that do not affect function

Trade-in terms

Trade-in quotes generated by our online tool are estimates based on the model, condition grade, and photos you provide. They are not a guaranteed purchase offer until we physically inspect your device.

Quote validity: Online trade-in quotes are valid for 14 days from the date generated. If you ship your device and it arrives more than 14 days after your quote date, we will issue a revised quote based on current market conditions.

Inspection on arrival: When your device arrives, we inspect it against the condition you reported. If the actual condition matches your submission, we honor the quoted amount. If the device has undisclosed damage — cracks, water intrusion, non-functional components not mentioned in your submission — we will contact you with a revised quote. You may accept the revised offer or request your device back. Return shipping for declined revised quotes is at your cost.

Non-refundable once processed: Once you accept a trade-in offer (original or revised) and we apply store credit or issue payment, the trade-in transaction is final. We do not accept trade-in reversals after credit has been applied or payment has been issued.

Data: You are responsible for erasing your device before shipping it. We will perform a factory reset on every device we receive, but we are not liable for any personal data remaining on devices that were not erased prior to shipment.

Title and risk: Title to your device transfers to LuxuriousComputers upon your acceptance of a trade-in offer. Risk of loss during shipping is covered by the prepaid label we provide, up to the declared value of the shipment.

LuxuryCare plans

LuxuryCare is our optional extended protection plan, sold separately at /care. Each tier builds on the one below it.

LuxuryCare Basic: Extends your hardware warranty by one additional year beyond the standard 12 months, for a total of two years from purchase. Same coverage terms and same whole-machine swap benefit. Annual fee.

LuxuryCare Plus: All Basic coverage, plus unlimited virus removal, one remote repair session per month (software issues, OS reinstall, migration), and priority scheduling for in-shop service. Annual fee.

LuxuryCare Business: All Plus coverage, plus a priority replacement SLA for critical business machines — we begin processing a replacement within 4 business hours of a qualifying claim during our operating hours. Intended for customers who cannot afford downtime. Annual fee.

LuxuryCare does not cover: The same exclusions listed in the warranty exclusions section above, plus cosmetic-only claims with no functional impact.

Accidental damage: LuxuryCare Plus and Business include one accidental damage claim per plan year, covering drops and liquid damage for a flat service fee disclosed at enrollment. This is the only coverage we offer for physical accidents.

LuxuryCare plans are non-refundable after the first 30 days. They are non-transferable and tied to a specific device by serial number at enrollment. If your device is replaced under a warranty swap, your LuxuryCare plan transfers to the replacement device.

LuxuryCare is provided by LuxuriousComputers directly, not underwritten by a third-party insurance company.

Payments

All online payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information at checkout, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. We do not store your card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers.

Affirm financing is available for orders over $300. Affirm financing is subject to Affirm's own terms and credit approval. LuxuriousComputers is not a lender and is not responsible for the terms of any financing arrangement between you and Affirm.

Prices displayed on our site do not include applicable sales tax. Ohio sales tax is calculated and collected at checkout based on the delivery address.

In-store purchases may be made by cash, credit card, or debit card. We do not accept personal checks.

Shipping

We ship nationwide. Orders typically arrive within 5–7 business days. Tracking is emailed the moment your order ships.

Shipping is free on orders over $500. Shipping charges for orders under $500 are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight.

If your device arrives damaged due to shipping, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and we will file a carrier claim and arrange a replacement.

We do not ship internationally at this time.

Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for carrier delays outside our control.

Prohibited use

You may not use our website or services to:

  • Submit fraudulent trade-in claims or misrepresent the condition of a device
  • Conduct any form of automated scraping, crawling, or data extraction without written permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of our systems
  • Resell or broker devices purchased under a consumer warranty
  • Use our services for any purpose that violates Ohio or federal law

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ohio law, LuxuriousComputers' liability in connection with any purchase or transaction is limited to the amount you paid for the product or service that gave rise to the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, loss of business, or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Ohio law.

Our site and services are provided "as is." We make no warranties beyond those expressly stated in these terms.

Disputes and governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.

Before initiating any formal legal action, we ask that you contact us directly. Most issues — a wrong item, a warranty dispute, a billing question — can be resolved with a phone call. Call (740) 223-5530 or email rick@luxuriouscomputers.com. We will respond within one business day.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in Marion County, Ohio. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our site or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
