iPad Trade-In

Broken iPad?
We'll buy it.

Apple quotes $0 for any iPad with a cracked screen or physical damage — and charges $399+ to repair one. We quote from parts value: M-series logic boards, Liquid Retina displays, and batteries all have a real secondary market. Bring it in and walk out with credit toward a working Mac or iPad the same day.

What condition is it in?

Be honest — we pay for broken ones too.

We buy iPads in all conditions

Cracked screen or glass

A cracked iPad screen is the most common damage we see — and the rest of the tablet is usually fine. The logic board, battery, cameras, and housing all hold parts value. A cracked iPad Pro still earns real credit because the M-series board inside is intact.

Dead / won't turn on

An iPad that won't power on often has a simple failure — battery, charging IC, or display — while the rest of the device is healthy. We quote based on what's recoverable on the bench, not the symptom you describe over the phone.

Won't charge / bad battery

Charging port and battery failures don't touch the screen or logic board. An iPad with a worn battery or dead USB-C/Lightning port keeps most of its parts value. These are some of the easiest trades we quote.

Bent housing or liquid damage

Bent iPads and liquid damage vary widely. Some still work perfectly; others have partial failures. We test on the bench and pay from what's actually functional — display, board, cameras — even when Apple's answer is a flat $0.

Frequently asked questions

Do you buy broken iPads?

Yes — iPad Pro (M1, M2, M4, and Intel-era), iPad Air, iPad mini, and standard iPad models. We buy them with cracked screens, dead batteries, charging problems, bent housings, and liquid damage. The condition sets the credit — not our willingness to buy.

How much is a broken iPad worth?

It depends on the model and what's wrong. A cracked iPad Pro 11" M2 earns $120–$200. A dead iPad Pro 12.9" M1 earns $80–$160. A cracked iPad Air M1 earns $70–$130, and older base iPads with damage earn $15–$45. Call (740) 223-5530 for a quote on your exact model and condition.

Will Apple buy my broken iPad?

Apple's trade-in program pays $0 for any iPad with a cracked screen, physical damage, or liquid damage. Their out-of-warranty screen repair on an iPad Pro starts at $399 — often more than the tablet is worth. We buy what Apple turns away and pay from recoverable parts value.

My iPad has a cracked screen but still works — is it worth more?

Yes. An iPad that still boots with a cracked screen means the logic board, battery, and cameras are healthy. Only the glass/display assembly is affected, and that's a known parts cost we subtract. Working-but-cracked iPads earn meaningfully more than dead ones.

Do I need to remove Activation Lock before selling my iPad?

Yes — this is the one requirement. Sign out of iCloud (Settings > your name > Sign Out) or remove the iPad from your account at icloud.com/find. An Activation-Locked iPad can't be resold or fully tested, so we can only pay bare parts value until the lock is removed. It takes two minutes and raises your quote.

Can I trade a broken iPad toward a refurbished Mac?

Absolutely — it's a common transaction. Bring in your damaged iPad, we quote it on the bench, and the credit applies toward any Mac, iPad, or accessory in our inventory the same day. Plenty of customers turn a cracked iPad into the down payment on a MacBook Air.

How do I erase my data if the iPad won't turn on?

If it boots, erase it yourself in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad. If it won't boot, remove it from your iCloud account at icloud.com/find — that flags it for erasure the moment it powers on. We also perform a secure wipe on every device at the bench. No customer data leaves our shop.

Do you buy iPads with cracked back glass or bent corners?

Yes. Housing damage lowers the resale value but doesn't erase it — the display, logic board, and battery still carry parts value. A bent iPad Pro with a working screen is still worth real money. Bring it in and we'll quote it honestly.
